What It Is

A Structured Leadership Opportunity

The Junior Coach Apprenticeship is not a paid staff position and not a regular class. It is a structured, service-based apprenticeship where selected students assist coaches on the floor, support younger students, and begin learning what it means to lead in a gym environment.

What It Is

A Leadership Apprenticeship

Students assist in selected classes under direct coach supervision. They are there to serve, model behavior, and support — not to run things on their own.

What It Is Not

Not a Staff Role

Junior Coaches are not paid employees, are not responsible for class management, and are not substitutes for E5 coaching staff. Every session is supervised.

What It Is Not

Not Automatic Enrollment

Participation requires a completed application. Students accepted for a cycle may reapply when that cycle ends. Acceptance is not guaranteed.

Who It's For

Students Ready to Lead

This program is designed for students who already understand E5 culture and want to contribute to it. The right Junior Coach is responsible, focused, kind, and genuinely interested in helping younger athletes grow — not just in earning a title.

Students in this program are expected to model the same standards they help teach: listening on the floor, resetting equipment, staying engaged, and representing Elemental 5 well every time they show up.

What Junior Coaches Do

Build Responsibility and Confidence Earn recognition at cycle completion and develop real leadership skills over time.
